I want to do a web comic with superhero (there’s more too) in the title, but I read that Marvel and DC comics owns the rights to the word “superhero.” Does that mean I can’t use that?

They jointly own the trademark to Super-Hero (and superhero without the hyphen, I think). All this means is that you can’t use the term in a trademark sense…i.e. your comic can’t be called “Superhero Comic” or the like. I think Dark Horse had to pay for permission to publish “Who Wants To Be A Superhero?” because of this. And anyone wanting to make a Superhero RPG can’t include that word in the title or subtitle.

No-one owns any of the land or waters in Antarctica. All territorial claims are in abeyance while the Antarctic Treaty operates. The Treaty recognises no claims. Australia has claimed a big chunk of Antarctica and maintains stations to support its claims but is a keen member of the Antarctic Treaty nations and is not pushing any claims.

Australia does own the waters around its Antarctic Islands - Macquarie, Heard and Macdonald - as these are part of Australia.

The Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary has been declared and is supported by all Antarctic Treaty nations except Japan. Japan hunts for whales in the Sanctuary.

I am a mother of two whose working on her GED. I need to chose a career that would be right for me. I don’t want to go into a career I might not like then have to start over, I am not getting any younger and fear that I might waste half my life figuring out what I want to do. I am just soo confused and am in a rut I can’t get out of b/c of fear.

My best advice to you would be to take a career inventory test. John Holland came up with a really good one, it’s called the Self Directed Search (I actually took it.. and it matched up perfectly to the direction in which I am going). You can take it for under $10 and it will give you a bunch of different careers that would suit you, your personality, and your lifestyle!

i have all their products because i am obsessed with garnier and all i can say is that it was really hard to track down garnier products in japan, bangladesh, phillipenes, colombia, ireland, and gambia.
like seriously i had to go to those places to get em’ all. anyways back to you it is very good for your hair but you should check out other products that garnier has they have body, skin, face, etc.

Call an antique dealer or the show Antique Road show (they have a website) has antique dealers & they may be in your area or able to recommend a great resource for you.

Leisure Arts puts out a book called Country Afghans The Vanessa-Ann Collection . I t is all quilt pattern afghans. It was put out by Oxmoor House in 1994. You might find a copy at Jo-ann fabrics or online at e-bay or amazon. Hope this helps .

They aren’t unbeatable, but they are very hard to beat, most teams have to be on their most perfect game just go compete with them. The only team that has proven they can beat the Spurs is the Mavs, but either way you look at it, its a toss up between those two teams, they are evenly matched, but not to take away anything from the Mavs, they aren’t unbeatable either, I’m pretty sure Phx can beat the Mavs in a series.
